Deep Groove Ball Bearings Overview
Deep groove ball bearings are among the most widely used rolling bearings. Their simple structure, ease of installation and reliable operation make them suitable for a broad range of machinery. They primarily carry radial loads and can also support limited axial loads when the shoulder geometry and radial clearance are appropriately selected.
Compared with other bearing types of similar size, deep groove ball bearings provide a low friction coefficient and high limiting speed. Within their axial clearance, they can limit shaft or housing displacement in both directions and therefore act as bidirectional locating bearings.

Bidirectional Location and Load Limitations
The bearing can carry radial load together with limited axial load in either direction and can locate a shaft axially on both sides. It has a small self-aligning allowance of about 2-10 arcminutes, but misalignment may shorten service life. Deep groove ball bearings are not impact-resistant and are not recommended for heavy-load duty.

Performance and Mounting Characteristics
